# Dev Log Entry - Add Drops, Offers, and AMZ Columns to Dashboard

## Task Overview
The objective was to enhance the Deals Dashboard by adding three new data columns to improve decision-making for arbitrage:
1.  **Drops:** Display the number of Sales Rank drops over the last 30 days.
2.  **Offers:** Display the current used offer count with a trend arrow (Green ↘ for falling, Red ↗ for rising) based on a comparison with the 30-day average.
3.  **AMZ:** Display a warning icon (⚠️) if Amazon is currently selling the item (has a valid "New" price).

## Implementation Details

### Database Schema
*   **File:** `keepa_deals/db_utils.py`
*   **Change:** Updated `create_deals_table_if_not_exists` to include a dynamic schema check. It now executes `ALTER TABLE` statements to add `Drops` (INTEGER), `Offers` (TEXT), and `AMZ` (TEXT) columns if they are missing from the `deals` table. This prevents the need for a destructive database reset.

### Backend Logic
*   **File:** `keepa_deals/stable_products.py`
    *   **Change:** Implemented `used_offer_count_30_days_avg(product)` to extract the 30-day average used offer count (index 12 of `avg30` stats).
    *   *Note:* Reused existing `sales_rank_drops_last_30_days` and `amazon_current` functions.
*   **File:** `keepa_deals/new_analytics.py`
    *   **Change:** Added `get_offer_count_trend(product)` function.
    *   **Logic:** Compares `Current Used Count` vs. `30-Day Avg`.
        *   If Current < Avg: Returns "Count ↘" (Falling).
        *   If Current > Avg: Returns "Count ↗" (Rising).
        *   Else: Returns "Count ⇨".
*   **File:** `keepa_deals/processing.py`
    *   **Change:** Updated `_process_single_deal` to call these new functions and populate the `row_data` dictionary with keys `Drops`, `Offers`, and `AMZ`. Included error handling to prevent row failures if these specific metrics fail.

### Frontend
*   **File:** `templates/dashboard.html`
    *   **Change:**
        *   Updated `columnsToShow` array to include the new keys.
        *   Adjusted `colspan` in the table header to accommodate the new columns.
        *   Added styling logic in `renderTable`:
            *   **Offers:** Applies `color: green` for `↘` and `color: red` for `↗`.
            *   **AMZ:** Renders a ⚠️ icon if the value is non-empty; otherwise renders an empty cell.

### Configuration
*   **Files:** `keepa_deals/headers.json` & `keepa_deals/field_mappings.py`
    *   **Change:** Added the new headers to the JSON list and corresponding `None` placeholders in the field mapping list to maintain strict index alignment required by the backfiller.

## Challenges & Solutions

### 1. Git History Fragmentation & "Missing Files"
*   **Issue:** During the development process, automated "Safety Pushes" and intermediate commits fragmented the Git history. When the initial submission was attempted, it only picked up the most recently modified file (`db_utils.py`), assuming the other files (modified in earlier steps) were already safely committed. This resulted in a Pull Request that was missing 90% of the logic.
*   **Attempted Fix:** Tried to use `git reset` to squash the history. This caused system instability ("Page Unresponsive") due to the size of the repo/history.
*   **Resolution:** Abandoned complex Git operations. Instead, I appended a trivial comment (`# Refreshed`) to the end of all 7 relevant files. This forced Git to register them as "Modified Just Now", ensuring they were all included in the final comprehensive commit.

### 2. Code Reversion
*   **Issue:** In the attempt to fix the Git history via reset, the working directory was accidentally reverted to a state *before* the new logic was applied.
*   **Resolution:** Verified the file contents by searching the text, confirmed the code was missing, and re-applied all code changes using my editing tools before the final submission.

## Status
*   **Outcome:** Successful.
*   **Verification:** Frontend verification script (`verify_dashboard_columns.py`) confirmed the columns appear correctly in the UI. Code review confirmed the logic is sound and safe.
